The Herd

Monkey is a thoroughbred gelding with a big heart and wisdom beyond his years. Monkey has guided many individuals, helping them to overcome obstacles and discover newfound confidence. His capacity to adapt is amazing. Monkey loves working with people and his gentle and solid natures leaves a lasting impression on those he welcomes to the herd. 

Doc is a bay gelding who takes everything in his stride. He is courageous, confident and unflappable. Doc is sharp as a tack, but also has a cheeky element to his personality that means learning with him by your side is always fun and insightful.

Phoebe, the Shetland Pony, is the matriarchal mare of the herd. Her welcoming nature and petite build makes meeting her the perfect introduction for those new equine therapy and working with horses. That said, she has a huge heart and is very much in charge. Phoebe knows how to look after herself and get what she wants, and has taught these skills to thousands of humans during her time at Groundwork Therapy.  

Joker is the newest groundwork herd member and, although he’s younger than the rest, is a wise old soul. He’s a quarter horse gelding who teaches you to slow down and do things with quality and meaning. Joker has a huge heart, and certainly loves a pat. 

Wise beyond his years and forever loyal, Bolt has travelled with Kylie around most of Australia for workshops his whole life. He’s reliable, loving and keeps a watchful eye on the herd.

The youngest and goofiest member of the herd, Jasper is a trainee of sorts, still learning about both life and workshops. His gentle sensitive side complements his playful zeal and zip. He’s incredibly intelligent and always up for tummy scratches sporting a wagging tail.
